Some Doesn't Mean - "Men Only"

10 He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.)11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
Ephesians 4:10-12

There has been great debate amognst the church for years in regards to the role of women in the church. There are many who believe that women cannot serve as a Pastor in the church. However, the Holy Spirit has led me to believe that is a lie from the devil. This continued debate cause divison and arguments within the church. The very things God does not want amongst His people. The purpose of Spiritual Gifts from God is to edify the Body of Christ, not tear it apart by "legalism".

God gave each of us a spiritual gift. he does not see the things we see and the above verses do not say He distributes according to gender. He is not a respector of persons. He is not prejudice. he is a just God. The above verses say it quite clear. Some have one, while some have another. All are not called to be a pastor, but some are. And since there is no Jew or Gentile in Christ Jesus, there is no man or woman (or respect for persons) when God distributes (as He pleases) Spiritual Gifts. All you need to do is line up one teaches with the Word of God, then you can fully discern if they are God anointed, or self appointed. Amen.

Thought To Ponder

Proverbs 18:19 A brother offended is harder to win than a strong city, And contentions are like the bars of a castle.

Good Morning and Happy Friday!!!

Whatever happened to what your mama used to say -- "If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything"?

As Christians we know that the words we speak should be praises to the Lord (PSALM 35:28). We should not be using our tongue to offend or hurt or tear down a fellow believer (brother and sister) in Christ Jesus. God instructed us to edify the Body of Christ. We are all facing storm, trials and tribulation so we need encouraging words, not opinions and two cents that are not edifying to the hearer. Uplift each other without telling others how to act or feel (emotion wise). It truly does not bother me if someone is a cry baby, sensitive. It does bother me when someone seems cold, heartless and uncaring and say they are Christian. God says we are to mourn together, rejoice together. We are to sympathize with our brothers and sisters and anyone who says otherwise you truly need to be watchful of. We are individuals as God made us, and I refuse to question anyones emotions (or lack thereof) because God is the Creator of ALL, so the creation (us) have no business telling another creation how they should be. God has the blueprint to each person. Let us stop judging each other in how we think they should react if they feel they were offended. YES, we are to EXPOSE sin, but nowhere is it written that feelings (and offenses) are sins. Got a problem? Take it to the Creator. Amen.

Jesus made EVERY effort to try not to offend, anyone (Jew or Gentile). To the point that He even paid taxes (MATT. 17:27) when He didn't really have to. I continue to point out that fact because it shows how He truly tried not to offend NON-BELIEVERS, that much more as we are to NOT offend BELIEVERS, says the Lord of Heaven. Amen.

A wise man holds back his feelings (thoughts), a fool vents all of his feelings (PROV. 29:11). A wise man prays more and talks less relying on God to show them the errors of their own way (JOB 6:24). A wise man respects all people, even those he doesn't see "eye to eye" with. A fool belittles by telling you how something is wrong with you. A wise man gently instructs. Wisdom comes from a closed mouth and open ears. Fools have closed ears and open mouths.

The TONGUE has the power or LIFE and DEATH in it. If you follow Christ Jesus, you will use your tongue to give LIFE. Pleasant words are sweetness to the soul and health to the bones (PROV. 16:24). If you allow your mouth to give DEATH (say things to hurt and tear down others) then you are not following Christ Jesus. So the next time you feel the need to open that, mouth, ask yourself this --- "Is this helpful or potentially offensive to the hearer?"

Meditate On:

1 Corinthians 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each one’s praise will come from God.

Weekly Inspiring Thought: Don't judge, just love people as they are, as Christ loves you.

Weekly Reflection: Do you judge people or do you accept them without critocizing them?

We need to stop judging people and just love them, right where they are. How can one say they follow Christ, yet turn their nose up at someone you feel isn't on your "level"? Didn't Jesus accept you 'as you are'? Remember the woman who committed adultery? Jesus forgave her and told her to "Go and Sin no more". Jesus was a man of few words, but the things He said, meant something. The Word clearly teaches us that many words leads to sin, but a wise man says few (see: Proverbs 10:19). People are hurting and just want to be loved. We are to meet needs (meet a person right where they are) then preach to them. If you follow Jesus you will see that is exactly what He did. He loves us, first, right where we are. The time has not yet come for Him to judge us. And please remember, if you want to judge anyone, start with the reflection looking back at you in the mirror (see: 1 Corinthians 13:12 & 2 Corinthians 3:8). Amen.

Weekly Inspiration
Tuesday ~ October 13, 2009

Romans 16:18 For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple.

Weekly Inspiring Thought: Don't decide based off of what one says. Decide based off of their fruit.

Weekly Reflection: Do you have itching ears.....only want to hear good?

I have listened to the complaints of many who voted for Presidents, current and past, complain that that President didn't do what they promised. I have heard people complain that the spouse they married isn't God-fearing, kind to them and treats them as less than.

People, we need to do more looking and less listening. If you stop to watch what a person does, then you will see the true essence, fruit, character of that person. Many try to put on a good "face" in the beginning to win you. However, in time, the truth always comes to light. Take the blinders off and accept what you see and do not assume that person will change or keep their promise just because you accept them. Many knew when they were dating that that person was unsaved (Muslim, Hindu, Aethiest, etc.). Many of saw how that man never opened doors, paid for meals or showed any grain of respect for you, when you were dating. Many knew that that Politician would never follow through based off of their past political track record.

Stop holding people's words against them and start praying to God for discernment and then discern, wisely. Talk is cheap....actions speak. Be quick to listen and slow to respond.....watch then act accordingly (See - James 1:19).

Amen.

Pray Before You Speak

21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
And those who love it will eat its fruit.
Proverbs 18:21

Don't be so quick to criticize how another goes about communicating with others. Don't you realize now you stand guilty of the same thing ---- Judging (which involves your tongue)? Instead of criticizing one another, just stop and pray and ask God to show you if you were in error (taking something the wrong way). Or if you truly believe the other person was in error (in what they said or did), then pray and ask God to show them because God can deal better with people better than we can. Pray more and speak less. Amen.

Give Thanks, Always!

16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing,
18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Greetings,

It is easy to live in the past dwelling on pain and disappointments and to complain about what you don't have or what you want. However, there is a time for everything, and that goes for mourning, regret, etc. God does not want us to hold onto things from our past. He wants us to forgive and let it go so He can take you where He wants you to be, a better place. How can you minister to another when you can't let go and trust God in your own life? It takes true strength and faith to look at the now and give thanks to God for where you are and for what you do have and even thank Him for what you have been through. Everything good and bad molds us into the person God wants us to be.

If you speak continually on how others hurt or let you down, then you are living in the past when you should be living in the now. If we truly forgive others (as God has told us we must do) then there is no need to further speak on the things someone put you through, unless it is for the sole purpose of ministering to someone (that is why God allows us to go through things so we can be sensitive to others) who is currently experiencing what you went through, so you can show them that they too can get past it.

So make today the day you forgive and let those people go. They are living their life. So live yours too. Complain less and pray more. Turn that negative energy into positive energy to bring Glory to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! And above all else, thank God for everything, both good and bad. He wants us to trust Him, not doubt Him, because that is His will for us. Amen.
