True Forgiveness

Mark 11:25 “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses."

Weekly Inspiring Thought: Forgive offender, release them to God, and don't feed unforgiveness.

Weekly Reflection: When you forgive, is it from the heart (genuine) or does unforgiveness still have a home in your heart?

PART of forgiveness is letting go and not bringing that topic back up (as if to relive that pain all over again). If one truly forgives, we are to let it go. Release our burdens to the Lord. Once God forgives, He keeps no record (remembers no more) of our sins. The very fact that He requires us to forgive those that have wronged us, before, He forgives us (if we do not forgive, then God will not forgive us), shows me that we are to forgive in the manner that He does. Do not speak on (give the details, relive the event) over and over again.

HOW would you feel if someone tells you they forgive you, but years later, they bring it back up again? Would you feel like that persons forgiveness wasn't genuine? God doesn't do us like that. Once He forgives us, He remembers no more. He expects us to do as He does....forgive and remember no more. For it is Written:

Jeremiah 31:34 (nkjv)No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”

AND He said it doesn't matter how many times a person offends (hurts) you. If they ask for forgiveness, we are to forgive (not keep score or say they ran out of chances). Amen. Please make time to meditate on the following verses:

Matthew 18:25-35 (tniv)
25 Since he was not able to pay, the master ordered that he and his wife and his children and all that he had be sold to repay the debt.
26 "The servant fell on his knees before him. 'Be patient with me,' he begged, 'and I will pay back everything.' 27 The servant's master took pity on him, canceled the debt and let him go.
28 "But when that servant went out, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred silver coins. He grabbed him and began to choke him. 'Pay back what you owe me!' he demanded.
29 "His fellow servant fell to his knees and begged him, 'Be patient with me, and I will pay you back.'
30 "But he refused. Instead, he went off and had the man thrown into prison until he could pay the debt. 31 When the other servants saw what had happened, they were greatly distressed and went and told their master everything that had happened.
32 "Then the master called the servant in. 'You wicked servant,' he said, 'I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to. 33 Shouldn't you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?' 34 In anger his master handed him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed.
35 "This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive a brother or sister from your heart."

Luke 11:4 (nlt)
4 and forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. And don’t let us yield to temptation.

Luke 17:3 (tniv)
3 So watch yourselves.
"If a brother or sister sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them.

John 20:23 (nkjv)
23 If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.”

2 Corinthians 2:10 (nlt)
10 When you forgive this man, I forgive him, too. And when I forgive whatever needs to be forgiven, I do so with Christ’s authority for your benefit,

Matthew 18:21-22 (nkjv)
21 Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” 22 Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven."

Matthew 6:15 (nkjv)But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

GOD brings us through situations to mold us. Grow us up into strong men and women of God. We all have stories of horror to share. However, that is not why God takes us through. There is a time and place for everything
(see: Ecclesiates 3:1). If you meet someone who may be going through what you have been delivered from, then share and explain how God brought you through it (Witnessing Tool!). There is freedom in Christ Jesus. Joy, peace and love. There is no room for unforgiveness in the life of a believer. Let it go and exhale and have a Happy Thanksgiving! Amen.

NOTE: Words I bolded & words in red in parenthesis are revelations I received.

11 Abraham replied, "I said to myself (myself = Spirit of GOD which we now have as the Holy Spirit within & we speak to), 'There is surely no fear of God in this place, and they will kill me because of my wife.' (Me = Jesus & wife is the Church, and Jesus was killed because of the church - Him preaching that He was sent and that He is God)12 Besides, she really is my sister (sister = believers which are part of the Body of Christ & Jesus said we are His family if we do the will of His Father in heaven), the daughter of my father (the Church makes us the daughter (which is always referred to as a 'her') of GOD in heaven) though not of my mother; and she became my wife (we, the Body of Christ, the Church of Christ, will be joined together with Him as His wife). 13 And when God had me wander from my father's household (Jesus is God's only begotten Son Who was sent to earth from heaven to walk the earth in the flesh (Living Word) to become the Sacrifice for our sins), I said to her, 'This is how you can show your love to me: Everywhere we go, say of me, "He is my brother." ' "(WE = you (us) and God which is the Holy Spirit within us and everywhere we go. Jesus has told us, repeatedly, that everywhere we go, we are to never deny Him, and always spread the Good News, which means - those that do the will of My Father in heaven are my brother and sister and mother)
GENESIS 20:11-13 (niv)

GOD has always been with us, from the beginning of time. Unfortunately, we don't always realize this. He is the Beginning and the End. The OLD is the shadow of that which IS and IS to come. If you read and ask Him to OPEN your eyes, you will be amazed and what He shows you in His Word. Abraham was counted righteous. God was with him (His Spirit was with Him, not IN, but WITH Him) and that is why Abraham could speak as He did because God was WITH him. God is with and IN us and speaking to us. All we have to do is listen. Amen!

1 Corinthians 9:7 So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.

Weekly Inspiring Thought: Give from your heart, not from guilt trips.

Weekly Reflection: Do you allow others to dictate what manner you should give or do you
give from the heart God gave you?

Many Christians get sucked into the great debate on "The correct amount to give" and in "what form". Many Christians have totally missed the mark on what it means to give. So many get caught up on - "do I give a tenth of everything I own"? In actuality, if you do research, in the Old Testament, people gave from their crops and livestock and took it to the storehouse (church) so all of GOD's people (believers) never lacked or wanted. The point of giving is so none lack - food, clothing and shelter. It isn't about lining someone's pockets. It is making sure we all have the necessities (needs met). God blesses us with money to help each other, not to grow interest in a bank account. If you don't believe me, then what is your definition of Good Fruit? While you stack your paper and you pass the homeless on the streets, daily, who are you helping besides yourself? If you are more concerned with helping (kindness, love) others in any way you can, that is bearing good fruit (Galatians 5:22). If you are only concerned with helping yourself and your immediate family that is bearing bad fruit (Galatians 5:19-21).

When you allow people to tell you that you must (like it is necessary and God does not want necessity) give ten percent, and you do not believe that is what God is telling you and you give that anyway, knowing you are taking food from your household, you are allowing man to dictate what you do, and when you do what you believe is not right you are sinning. When you do so under distress and pressure, there is no cheer in that. God wants a cheerful giver. Why? Because He is not a forceful God. If you give from your heart and because you want to, you will give out of the abundance that you have. If you honestly believe that money is all you have to give then you really don't know God. People who are unemployed or people on 'fixed' incomes do not have money to give. So, does this make them exempt from giving? No. Why? Because they have time to give. So, if you don't always have the money to give, you have time to go volunteer at shelters, soup kitchens, visit the sick in the hospital, the prisoners, the widow on your street. we all have things we can give out of the abundance (time, talents, money) that God has blessed us with.

It isn't the amount of what we give and don't give or form we choose to give in, that saves us. Jesus saves us by His Mercy and Grace and Jesus said He does not want sacrifice, He wants mercy (Hosea 6:6; Matthew 9:13; Matthew 12:7). Give from what you have and you will be cheerful and God will be pleased. Amen.

PSALM 118:8 It is better to trust in the LORD,
Than to put confidence in man.

Daily Inspiring Thought: Trust God, always.

Daily Reflection: Do you trust God, even when things don't look so bright?

It is easy to trust God when everything goes your way. However, have you found yourself a little 'less' trusting, when things seem to not go your way? Were you one of the people who suffered financial loss in regards to a foreclosure or layoff? Did you blame man or God? See, when we error in putting all of our faith and confidence in, man, we set ourselves up for disappointment. When we put all of our trust in God, we will always win. God keeps His promises and He cares for you and He knows what is best for you. Man will tell you what you want to hear in order to benefit their motives.

Stop having confidence in a man. Human beings are equal and cannot do anything out of the ordinary for you. So with that being said - put your trust in the One Who Created you and that man you have confidence in. Don't allow man to be lord of your life. Allow God to be Lord of your life. Amen.

ISAIAH 8:19-20 19
And when they say to you, “Seek those who are mediums and wizards, who whisper and mutter,” should not a people seek their God? Should they seek the dead on behalf of the living? 20 To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

Daily Inspiring Thought: Seek God and His Word for truth, not man.

Daily Reflection: Do you turn to God or man for answers?

I believe it is perfectly OK to turn to others for answers when we just can't seem to find them. However, I must warn you to do so with much caution and wisdom. If what someone tells you cannot be found in the Word of God then do not accept what they have shared with you as truth. If a person continually speaks from their own opinions and not from God's Word, then they do not know God. Stop taking people's word when they tell you they know God. Someone can be 'saved' but not have a relationship with God. In order to truly know God, you must seek Him out. Stay in His word and less in your head. Do not assume because someone claims to have been 'walking with' the Lord for twenty plus years, that they know God. Listen to the words that come out of people's mouth. If what they say can be found in God's word, continue listening. If what they say is purely their words, do not receive them or their words. Part of gurading your heart is guarding what you allow to enter into your spirit (mind and heart). Amen.

Proverbs 26:18-20 18 Like a madman who throws firebrands, arrows, and death, 19 Is the man who deceives his neighbor, And says, “I was only joking!” 20 Where there is no wood, the fire goes out; And where there is no talebearer, strife ceases.

Daily Inspiring Thought: Be honest and say what you mean.

Dailyly Reflection: Do you casually say things and when the person doesn't respond

as you thought they may, do you then say --- "I was just joking"?

Have you ever had a "friend" who always seemed to be on "joke time"? That person who turns your insecurities into a joke and then say you are too sensitive? Have you or perhaps someone you knew, say hurtful things to only turn right back around and say ---- "I was just joking"? If you claim to be a Christian, then you should know that words do matter and you must be careful of what you say. Also, pay attention to what people who claim to be your "friend in Christ (aka/your neighbor). Because alot of times the things people say is just a "joke" is really truth being disquised as a "joke". everyone does not have your best interest at heart and everyone is not a friend in Christ. Choose your friends, wisely because true friends won't hurt you, not even jokingly. Amen.
